Glamour Doll

If your like me and not blesses with fabulous long lashes i'd definitely recommend Catrice Glamour Doll. This little gem is my go to mascara. If it was up to me i'd be wearing false lashes everyday but who has the time and money.

Naturally I have very short and straight lashes. I find it very had to get my lashes to curl up without using an eyelash curler. I find this mascara gives me long looking lashes with no clumping and also makes my eyes look bigger. Its easy to apple, its easily removed and best of all it lasts all day.

I've recommended this mascara to my friends and they all love it too. It also cheap, like less than a fiver and also available in Penneys and most pharmacies. There is also a waterproof version available. Definitely be purchasing again. Let me know what you think of Glamour Doll!

Pastel Hair

Hey guys,

I've wanted to try this pastel hair for so long!! And its sooo much easier than you think. Its such a huge trend right now as we see Kelly O rocking the purple locks and recently Katy Perry went green!!

I'm a blonde girl at heart and i'd say I always will be but got to switch it up now and again. Anyway I first saw this pink tip look on a Peter Mark add and have wanted to try it since but been scared as I thought id ruin my blonde hair and that is a risk I was not willing to take .. until today!!

So I figured out a way to do to it (thanks to youtube) without actually using hair dye and it washes straight out and no damage to your hair!

So all you need to achieve this look is..
  • Chalk pastels that I bought it a local craft store
  • Water
  • Hair dryer

1. Dip a small section of hair into water.
2. Colour it with the chalk pastels (not regular chalk)
3. Dry the hair once you have added chalk to all the tips.
 Easy!!

Let me know what you think of the pastel hair trend!

Ombre lips

Ombre lips are everywhere at the moment from drag queens to the catwalk and i'm absolutely loving it. Ombre is a gradient of colour, from light to dark or dark to light, and its definitely moved from hair to  lips. I was wanting to try this for ages and today I finally did. :) Although I love the look, I think its a bit drag queen looking for us mere mortals. So I came up these few looks that are not as obvious looking but still have the ombre going. Its great for the effect of a fuller lip too. Its so easy to do, just mess around with to shades of lipgloss, lipstick or lip pencil and mix and match.

So I like my pink lippie if you haven't noticed. What do you think of the ombre lip trend? I would love to here your thoughts.

  • Peaches Geldof Dies.

Peaches Geldof, daughter of Bob Geldof, died today at the young age of 25. Another life taking way too young.

    A statement from her dad.
"Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken.Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof."

At this stage, the death is being treated as an unexplained and sudden death. Officers are working to establish the circumstances around the death.

    May she rest in peace.
Thoughts and prayers are with her family.

    Fishtail Plait

    Hey guys,
I finally learned how to do a fishtail plait and I absolutely love them! They are great when you don't have time to curl or straighten your hair but you want something different than a ponytail. They don't have to be perfect either, I like them a bit messy and it doesn't matter if my layers stick out of everywhere.

This one I did really quickly when I was hurrying to college and got lots of complements. Its great! :) They are quick, easy and cute. Happy days.
    Do ye like fishtails plaits??

    Gwyneth and Chris Over!

    Hey guys,
Did you hear the sad news that Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are separating. I always thought they were so cute together and would last, they didn't seem like a big show biz couple. So sad :(

Their statement read, "It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."

"I asked my dad once, 'How did you and Mum stay married for 33 years?' And he said, 'Well, we never wanted to get divorced at the same time.' And I think that's what happens. When two people throw in the towel at the same time, you break up, but if one person's saying: 'Come on, we can do this,' you carry on. I've learned more about myself being married than anything else. I hate to say, 'We've got it worked out,' because you never know what's going to happen, but we laugh, we're good friends, we like to do the same stuff."

At the end of the day theres no point staying in a relationship thats not working. Always do what makes you happy in the end.

What do you think of there break up guys?? Let me know!

    Rihanna for X-Factor

    Hey guys,

Simons back to the UK X-factor and he's got Cheryl Cole with him! I love her and delighted she's back. Think Il be back watching x-factor this year. I got bored of it when she left.
So that's two judges.. Who are the other two going to be??

Simon wants Rihanna!! How amazing (no more sha-mazing) would that be? It definitely would bring the ratings back up and help the ratings against strictly!! I'm so excited already eventhough it's not confirmed.

“Simon and Cheryl have two months to find someone to sit in that chair and they want to get the right person," a source told British newspaper Daily Star.

“This year is an important one for The X Factor. Simon can’t be complacent and has to come back with a real A Team.

“Rihanna would be a shock selection because she is not an obvious choice for a family show – but that’s what he wants.”

    Louis Walsh back??
He said last year was his last year but Simon wants him back, although Cheryl doesn't. We will just have to wait and see.

Other people rumored to join is LMFAO front man Redfoo, Joss Stone, Ellie Goulding, Mel B and Black Eyed Peas star Fergie.

Who would you like to see on panel?

    Outfit Of The Week

    Hey guys.
This is my first outfit of the week post! :)

    Shorts
So I just bought theses shorts on Boohoo.com, and absolutely love them. They are black with a white swallow bird pattern which is so cute. They are high waisted and a loose fit. I think they are good to wear with black tights and boots, like I am at the moment but also be great with sandals whenever the weather in Ireland decides to improve :) They were 15 euro and available here.

    Cardigan
I love these wooly big knits at the moment. I bought this white one in New Look recently and its great for this cool weather and its so cozy. It was 22.99 and available here, and in other colours.

My top is from A-wear :( so sad its closed down!! Necklace from Accessorize available here, I have 2 of them on. Scarf from Penneys and boots from Dunnes Stores.

Don't forget to use your student discounts on boohoo.com and in New Look.

    Vero Moda

    Hey guys.
Happy me, I went shopping the weekend :) and actually got some nice clothes.
So my very pregnant sister Aine bought something nice from Vero Moda last week end and got a scratch card with her purchase to celebrate Paddy's day.

Anyway she won 50% off when you spend 100 euro or more. She didn't want anything so lucky me, she gave it to me. So I could get 100 euros worth of clothes for 50 euro, how could you go wrong?

I got this great fake leather jacket. Im usually not one for leather jackets but love the colour and fit of this one. Its a grey colour so it will go with most thing. It would be cute with a summer dress or a pair of jeans durning the day and for college and also I can dress it up for a night out, it will pretty much go with anything.

I also got this loose blazer. Its black, grey and white in a fab pattern. Perfect for someone who wants to try a pattern because its monochrome and doesn't stand out too much. Great with jeans or a plain colored dress going out, for some reason I want to wear a pink dress with it, it would be a nice contrast.

Feeling like the generous sister that I am I bought my other sister, Roisin, a little outfit too. I got her these statement pants. i think there great although some would disagree. There a loose fit bit tight on the ankles. I got her a plain black tee to go with them. Didn't want her to look over the top. She's delighted with the clothes anyway.

A great buy, since i just spend over 50 euro for all that stuff and its great quality too. :)
If you want to shop at Vero Moda you can visit there online shop at http://www.veromoda.com/

    Naked Blue Eyes

    Hey guys.
One of my favorite make up brands has to be Urban Decay, mainly because of there eye shadow palettes. I'm going to talk about there newest naked palette, Naked 3.

Absolutely love the box to start with, its a hard flip case which is great as I'm a bit clumsy and have dropped my palette a few times and my palette is still in perfect condition. When you open the palette there is a mirror on the top and 12 eyeshadows and a double brush on the bottom half. The colours are perfect for most skin tones, they are mainly pinks and browns. There also very pigmented and last all day. I use this palette for the day time as I like darker colours for going out.

This was a light day time look I did for today just to go into town. I have strange right under my eyebrows on the arch. Then I used dust on the inner corner to a quarter way in on top and bottom. I used light from the outer corner to three quarters way in and then blended the strange and light together where they met. I used factory for the crease and then blended it in. I tried to keep the colours light for the day.

I then used gel eyeliner and black mascara to finish off the look. Its just a quick and easy day time look.
Let me know what you think of the naked 3 palette and I'd love to see you naked 3 eyeshadow ideas.

    Prime With No Shine

    Hey guys.
I've been looking for a good moisturiser that I can use just before I put on my make up. A lot of ones I have tried take forever to dry in or dry fast but don't really moisturise your skin. I came across Nivea Daily Essentials Hydration Primer for normal/combination skin in Tesco one day, it was half price so said I'd give it a go.

    Pros

The price I got it for under 4 euro but usually its under 8, all depends where you get it. Dries instantly, this is perfect for moisturising just before doing your make up and there is no greasy feel either. It makes your make up last longer and stay in place without it going blotchy. Last but not least it smells great, always a bonus for me.

    Cons
Cant really complain considering its very good for the price. Its definitely one to use before make up but wouldn't recommend it to use just a moisturiser, if that makes any sense.

You get more than what you pay for with this product. Next time I'm going to try the dry to normal skin one, as I have dry skin and didn't realise I got the wrong one until I was at home. Whoops.

Let me know what you think please.

    Happy Hair - Happy Life

    Hey guys.
Normal I have dry hair and it gets damaged especially from dying it blonde, all the pulling and tugging it gets from my back combing and of course all the heat from the hair dryer, straightener and curlers.
So I bought Moroccan Oil out of Peter Marks about a month ago. It was a bit pricey for a student but its something I definitely can't live with out now. Its my hair essential. I think I would actually rather hair my Moroccan Oil over my hair brush, but lets hope I never have to choose. It makes my hair so soft and my hair actually started going again, which was amazing as I've been trying to get my hair to grow but it has been stuck at the same length for years.

I put it in a squirt or two into my hair after I have washed it and before I blow dry it. Once my hair is dry you wouldn't think theres oil in it at all, but gives your hair a really healthy shine. I also put a little in before I straighten my hair just to protect my hair and it makes my hair soft and keeps the split ends together.

My hair blow dried with the moroccan oil

I definitely would have to give this product 5 stars, theres nothing bad I could say about it. It is pricey but worth every penny to keep my hair this happy.
